SNOW, SNOW, and more SNOW!!!

Finally some pictures! Here are some pictures of our 7-11 inches that was actually a measly 1 1/2. That was last weekend. Pete still got out the snowblower and the kids still went out to play!
All ready to go!
Helping Dad snowblow. Yes, he snowblowed 1 1/2 inches. A man and his toys! But its probably smart to test it out on this to be prepared, right? You never know what could have happened to it in the garage all summer.
Aaron the BobsledderTyler loves his trucks!
Abby enjoying her sled ride
Ok now for the big stuff. It started snowing around 8am on Wednesday and did NOT stop until about 4pm on Thursday! We ended up with 24 inches from that storm. Crazy. It's the worst storm on record for Spokane.
Luckily, Pete came home Wed afternoon and worked from home the rest of the week. School was cancelled, so we just stayed snug and warm in our house! Not like we had much of a choice :)
Abby and Ty ready to go play!
Sledding...Weee!! This is mid-day on Wednesday.
Ah...the ski trip. Pete has been anticipating skiing down the driveway. So, Wednesday night, he gave it a shot. It was, well, unsuccessful. But very funny!
My little snow bunny! Wait, I'm guessing I shouldn't call a guy a snow bunny. How about Snow Stud? Yes, that has a nice ring to it!
Poor Matty. He is confined to the inside of the house. No point in putting all his crap...er...snow clothes on for 5 minutes.
Thursday morning....19 inches at this point. Yikes! Here is Pete standing in our driveway.
And the snowblower at work. Good thing he tested it out last weekend, eh? It took him 3 1/2 hours to do the entire driveway and even then, there was probably another inch or two of new snow. when he was done.
Abby loving the deep snow!
While Abby was outside, she wanted to make a snowman. She asked for a carrot, which I did not have. Celery will do won't it? Anyway, the boys each asked for some. Um...ok. So I gave them each a stalk, pleased at our fabulous parenting that the boys are asking for a vegetable. Sure enough, they ate the entire thing. Wierd. I guess they like celery. Oh, and that snowman? He didn't last too long. Mr. Snowblower ate him. Poor Frosty.
Here are the rugrats again. Pete was back out there around dinnertime to clear off another 5 inches from the driveway. That snow that they are standing on is actually snow from the blower. See the 'bubbling' on the left side? Those are the huge boulders that line the driveway.
So today, Abby and Ty and I decided to go for a snow walk.
First, you throw a snowball at Mom.
Then, you find the sled that dad buried with the snowblower and start digging it out.
Keep digging!
Next, you throw another snowball at Mom.
Since that was so funny, you simply do it again!
This ones' for Grammy! Here are your grandkids in 29 inches of snow! Yes, they are standing!
This is what we saw at the top of the driveway. Now, where exactly do we exit the driveway? I am grateful that the grater came through so the road is driveable. But first this needs to be attacked by the killer snowblower. Tomorrow.
Looking down the street
And the other way
To put things into perspective, here are the kids and the berm left behind by the grater. Or is it grader? My truck boy insisted that his crane come along on our walk. The more the merrier, right?
Chasing the kids down the street
Here we are!

Kinda hard to see but this is looking down the driveway from the top. I'll take a better pic post snowblowing tomorrow.
And the snow covered house!

So that, my friends, is what 27 inches of snow looks like!
