This week was crazy busy. I ran out today to finish getting our CVS stuff and was glad that the stores still had what I needed. They had some Febreze stuff on special that I had to wait for coupons for.
Want to know why? Because Las Vegas is lame and doesn't include Red Plum or P&G inserts in the Sunday newspaper. I will have to resort to Ebay to buy them. I spent $1.25 on 5 P&G inserts and just today I saved $40 on coupons just from those 5 inserts, so its definately worth it.
Anyway.
Long story short, I normally like to shop earlier in the week!
Here is what I got! Sorry for the yucky cell phone pic :)

Vons:
Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce x 10 bottles (Raincheck for .99/bottle, used $1/2 MQ x 5)
Tide HE x 5 bottles (4.99 if you buy 2 or more, used 5 $1/1 coupons)
Before coupons/sale: $77.85
Price I paid: $24.85
$ savings of: $53.00
% savings of: 68.1%
CVS:
Glucometers for my Granny X 3 (sale 19.99, used free coupon, earned $15 ECB)
Febreze Fabric Refresher x 5 (sale 5.00)
Febreze Noticeables x 5 (sale 6.50, used 5 $4/1 MQ)
Febreze Air Spray x 5 (sale 3.00, used FREE WYB Fabric Refresher x 5 MQ)
Pantiliners x 1 (sale .89, earn .89 ECB)
Tape x 3 (4.97, earn 4.97 ECB)
Pencils x 3 (2.97, earn 2.97 ECB)
On the Febreze, I earned $5 ECB for each $10 spent, so $35 in ECB for all the Febreze)
The nitty gritty:
Started off with $10 ECB from last week
Before coupons/sale: $189.25
Spent out of pocket: $10.23 plus I have $25 in ECB to use this month!
What is an ECB? Its a cool thing they do to make CVS a rockin' place to coupon shop. They are coupons off your next purchase. You can use them on ANYTHING. If you have the patience (sometimes I do, sometimes I don't!) you can do multiple small transactions and keep paying with the ECB to keep your out of pocket low. I tend to be short on time so I just do what I can. I'm sure there are folks who could have done this with a lot less OOP :)
Exciting stuff! More free school supplies tomorrow, can't wait!
Today we had fun swimming in our pool. I tell ya, this is going to be a great investment. It will make our summer definately more tolerable! I think Tyler was probably in it for a total of 2-3 hours today. I went in with Ty and Abby this afternoon and then we all got in after dinner. So fun! It's a 12 foot round pool and it is supposed to be 39 inches deep. We didn't fill it all the way, I'm guessing its probably 34-35 inches deep. Perfect so that all 3 older kids can touch bottom!
Speaking of pools, there is a company that makes all the supplies for pools called HTH. They have a rebate going on, where if you spend a certain amount, you get a Fandango card. We bought enough chemicals and filters to last through the summer, plus a test kit, skimmer, brush for the bottom, etc. That is enough to earn us a $20 Fandango card. Cool, huh? Free movie for something we'd have bought anyway!
