Get thee to Safeway/Vons!

Ok so I found out via a Facebook friend about a secret sale at Safeway/Vons! It is in WA and NV, I can confirm that!

Kellogg's Cereals are on sale for 2.49, but if you buy 4 or more, they take a dollar off each box for 1.49 a box! My friend got Nutrigrain bars, so those are working too.

In last Sunday's paper, there was a Kellogg's insert with all sorts of coupons. We didn't get it (because Las Vegas is lame and leaves out everything but the SmartSource from the paper!!) so I got some from Ebay. The coupons were all $1/2 of certain items (cereal, fruit snacks, nutrigrain, kellogg's bars, Eggo waffles, etc.). Plus there is a rebate form to get back $10 when you send in 10 proofs of purchase plus a $70 coupon for Dell.

So here we go. Go get 10 items that are included in the 1.49 deal (shelf tag will specify). Use coupons from that insert. If you use 5 $1/2 coupons, you will walk out paying 9.90 for all 10 items, then you can send the POP in for the $10 rebate, for a profit of $0.10!!

Even if you don't have the insert coupons, you will walk out paying $14.90, and get your $10 rebate, making them .49 a box, still a great deal! Oh and some of the boxes have $1/1 peelie coupons, so keep an eye out for those!

This time of year always has awesome cereal sales. We go through probably 5 boxes a week, so I always stock up. The expiration dates on all I have gotten this week and last week (General Mills at Albertsons last week) are all for March-June of next year. My 'buy' price for cereal is $1 a box, so I actually bought about 36 boxes today. So 1o of them will be free and the other ones will have been .99 a box after my coupons, which is a great deal for us!

Here is another deal for Walgreens. They have these 'Back to School' coupon flyers at the front of the store. Inside, is a coupon for $2/1 Huggies wipes 64ct or larger. I got enough coupons for 60 boxes on Ebay for about $3.

From what I've read, the price varies, some stores they are 2.79, mine was 3.29. I did get 2 boxes the other day, as I had 2 coupons for .50/1. So with the $2/1 Wags coupon and the .50/1 MQ, they ended up being $0.79 a box! Not too shabby! This comes at a great time, as we are out of my stash from January 2008! :) Plus Huggies wipes are the only ones I will use. There aren't many things I'm brand loyal to, but I like my Huggies wipes and Pampers Dipes!

If you have the space, stock up! This Walgreens $2/1 coupon is good through 8/29. Keep in mind that with those coupons, they just need to scan it, they don't keep them. So hang on to that flyer! Since Walgreens doesn't carry tons of stock and I don't want to clear the shelf, I plan to see if they will order 60 boxes for me. If not, we are lucky enough to have many different stores around and since there is lots of time, I'll just get a few boxes here and there over the next few weeks.
