Check out the Turkeys!

Today we did a coolio projecto. Even Tyler liked it, so it must have been good! It took a while, probably 45 minutes to an hour, and he participated the whole time!
Anyway, I printed off a black and white outline turkey. Then I cut a bunch of small 1x1 or so squares of tissue paper. Each square was smooshed and rolled and crumpled into a ball and glued on with Elmers.
They turned out so cute, and the kids had so much fun! I was the designated crumpler. I felt so important. They could not have done it without me!
Getting started Abby's finished product...isn't it so so so cute?????
An interesting thing, Abby has been learning patterns at school. They call them AB patterns or AAB patterns. She did an AB pattern on the Turkey's belly. I thought that was creative!

Here is a close up:
This is Terre's Turkey. Who is Terre? Wait...what does that say? OH, its TYLER's!!! Do you see it? T, E Y, upside down L, R! We're still learning :)

His turned out really cute too. He had a lot of fun and it was fun watching him do it. It looks all mish mash haphazard, but he really did put thought into where each little crumpled ball of tissue paper should go. And he was VERY generous with the glue. Although, he did say it tasted funny. Good thing its non toxic!
Abby decided to draw a hand turkey and she wanted a picture of that too:
