So today was/is election day. I was driving home from picking up Ty from preschool. Gayle King, my buddy on Oprah & Friends XM Satellite Radio, was talking about the love of her life, Obama.
Tyler: We talked about Obama today!
Me: Oh really, what did you talk about?
Tyler: Obama.
Me: (thinking what are they telling 4 year olds at preschool on election day?) Did they talk about McCain?
Tyler: I think so.
I just was surprised that they talked with them about it. I guess it never really occured to me to do so.
So, later, I was fixing lunch and Pete and I were talking about the election.
Abby: Oh, I have something to tell you.
Me: What?
Abby: Today, we voted at school, and we had to circle the name, and I circled McCain.
Me: Oh really? Why did you circle him instead of Obama?
Abby: So and so (can't remember who) said she'd give me a sticker if I circled McCain.
Now we know why you can't vote until you're 18. By then, you can't be bribed by a sticker :)
